Our Values

A profound respect for our territory

La Rochère is a company that is committed. Surrounded by the vibrant forests of Haute-Saône, a source of inspiration, we aim, through our products, to convey enduring narratives and values through sustainable action. Anchored in this privileged environment for over 500 years, which it respects and from which it has drawn its resources for centuries, the glassworks now contributes to the life of the region, thanks to the men and women who work glass with passion, sometimes for several generations.

Our Values

Living Heritage Company

La Rochère has been awarded the EPV label since 2014. "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (EPV) is a mark of recognition from the French state that distinguishes companies for their industrial and artisanal excellence. Since its creation in 2005, the association of EPV-labeled companies has brought together businesses with unique heritage, working to reconcile innovation and traditional craftsmanship, work and passion, heritage and future, local and international.

Our Values

Guaranteed French origin

In Passavant-la-Rochère, over 90% of our production is 100% French. The raw materials used are also sourced over 90% from France. The sand, which constitutes 60% of the composition, comes from Fontainebleau. It therefore seemed just and necessary to defend our know-how and products (recognized worldwide) with the only label officially attesting to the French origin of our manufacturing.

Our Values

Limited Environmental Impact

La Rochère seeks and implements all possible improvements to limit its environmental impact. For example, we recover the heat from our furnace to heat our premises. We are committed to manufacturing in France, with products that are 100% recyclable (excluding ceramics, glass architectural panels, and bamboo). Thanks to the electrical energy of our furnaces, we have significantly reduced the carbon footprint of glass melting. 100% of our glass waste is recycled. Other waste is sorted and sent to recycling facilities for more than 70%. Our teams are committed to a daily approach to improving our energy performance.

Our Values

Regulatory and Solid Societal Actions

With the aim of deepening its commitment, La Rochère joined the Progrès Environnement Entreprises (P2E) association in 2006. This local association of businesses allows each member to benefit from advice and strategy in industrial environmental matters through the intervention of an environmental engineer.
